day 77_Sao Paulo_first encounters with Lina

After passing by the MASP - the Sao Paulo Museum of Art - two days ago (pictures above), I could not get Lina Bo Bardi out of my head. The building left an incredibly strong impression on me and so today I decided to visit the 'Glass House', Bo Bardi's own house which she designed in 1951. Located in a fancy Morumbi neighborhood, it was rather an expensive cab drive from my hotel, but the building was absolutely worth it.

The contrast between the two types of housing, the sprawling disorganized favelas and the repetitive social housing blocks, was striking from above.
